STEAM Programs
$250/session or $800 for 4-session series
Children "excavate" materials from a dig site and build working instruments from their finds — PVC tubes, containers, rubber bands, sticks, coconut shells. Like paleontologists piecing together dinosaurs, kids piece together an orchestra, learning sound science along the way. The session culminates in a group performance of a "prehistoric symphony."
60 min · Ages 6-11 · $250
How did Jurassic Park create the T-Rex roar? What did a Parasaurolophus — the "trombone dinosaur" — actually sound like? Kids explore where paleontology meets acoustics, build PVC pipe "crests" demonstrating how tube length changes pitch, then create their own dinosaur vocalizations using layered sounds.
60 min · Ages 8-12 · $250
Each station represents a geological era with different instruments. Kids explore real instruments alongside prehistoric-inspired creations — PVC pan pipes ("bone flutes"), bucket drums ("cave percussion"), rubber-band box guitars. Passport system where children earn fossil stamps at each station.
60 min drop-in · Ages 3-12 · $250
Teams decode "fossilized" musical notation, solve rhythm puzzles embedded in geological layers, identify dinosaur species by their reconstructed "calls," and crack a final combination using note values. Clues can be hidden in library stacks using call numbers from the science section.
45-60 min · Ages 12-18 · $250
Teens analyze and remix iconic movie scores — the Jurassic Park theme by John Williams is instantly recognizable. Using GarageBand or similar software, they create original soundtracks for dinosaur documentary footage, learning how film composers use orchestration, dynamics, and leitmotifs.
60-75 min · Ages 13-18 · $250
Multi-week ukulele course where each session "unearths" a new chord and skill. Session 1 excavates the C chord ("the fossil everyone finds first"), Session 2 digs up G and Am, building toward a group performance of themed songs. The paleontology metaphor makes progression feel like discovery.
4 sessions · Ages 13+ · $800
